Is this course for you?

"Flight of the Heron" is fun to learn! Play it fast or slow to suit your mood and technical ability. The course is gently paced with step-by-step learning support. This piece uses simple patterns, so you'll be able to follow along with beginner technique and reading skills. I'll challenge you to memorize patterns and also improvise. You'll use a skilled blend of visual, aural and tactile learning styles to learn and memorize the patterns. 

What do I need?

You will need to purchase, download and print the sheet music from the Music Discoveries Shop. The course does not include sheet music.

This arrangement is well-suited for SMALL HARPS with bass D as the lowest pitch. It requires C Major tuning and there are no lever changes.

What's included in this course?

This course includes over 90 minutes of skilled instruction to support your learning. Some of the lessons are short and sweet, while others require 10-15 minutes of focused practice. You'll find my teaching style to be clear, calm and encouraging.

I've divided the piece into 4 main sections. I'll walk you through every pattern so you don't need to worry if note reading isn't your strength. We will be working primarily by rote and memory. The beauty of a course is you can play the lessons again and again until you've got it!
