Nice to meet you!

I'm Anne Crosby Gaudet from Music Discoveries. Maybe you've learned some of my harp compositions and watched my performance videos on YouTube. I invite you to work with me at the harp and learn from my unique teaching style, gentle guidance and positive support.

I have been a music educator for over 30 years, working with hundreds of students from age 6 to 86.  I'm a highly trained musician with a Masters degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy, but at the harp I was an adult learner too! So I deeply understand the joys and challenges of learning the harp later in life. My skilled teaching style and calm demeanour allows me to effortlessly meet you where you are and gently support you in learning the harp.

Fun Facts

  • I'm a Certified Clinical Musician and worked as a harp therapist in a long term care facility for dementia patients for 4 years.

  • I started teaching online harp lessons in 2019 and have since completely pivoted my music studio to working with adult learners all over the world. 

  • I studied classical harp with Katherine Fitch-Loza and completed the Royal Conservatory Harp levels 4, 6, and 8 in under 2 years.

  • I have travelled across Canada as a music festival piano adjudicator.

  • I have worked as a church organist and piano accompanist.

  • I opened my independent piano studio in 1993 and have taught hundreds of students age 6-86 over the past three decades.

  • My first of six collections of piano solos was published in 1996, it was called In My Dreams.

  • I currently self-publish my own sheet music and have recorded 7 albums.

  • I enjoy all aspects of digital media creation and I do all of my own recording, video production and editing. 

  • My harp family includes a Dusty Strings FH36S, Dusty Strings FH34, Stoney End Brittany double strung.

  • I live in Nova Scotia, Canada with my husband, Neal and 2 cats, Mauzy and Mezzo.
